光咖啡社企的使命是以咖啡傳頌愛。創辨人黃秀清(Ms. Celia Wong) 在政府屬下的僱員再培訓局(ERB Employee Retraining Board) 教授再培訓咖啡調製員課程多年,發現大部份畢業學員因年齡、家庭問題擔憂未來,不確定自己能否勝任未來工作,再遇上過去超過一年的社運及COVID疫情影響,有心工作的畢業學員更顯無助。所以成立光咖啡社企,與「 ERBPAL亞洲香港再培訓專業聯合會」合作推動再培訓就業,決心做社會企業扶助再培訓咖啡畢業學員發展職志。透過實體經營光咖啡亭,在點訓練場地,一站式讓學員體現成為咖啡師的進階職能培訓,包括技術提升及客服體驗學習。

The mission of Brighten Coffee is to spread love through coffee. The founder Ms. Celia Wong has been teaching coffee-making courses for retraining employees under the Employee Retraining Board(ERB) of the Hong Kong Government for many years. She found that most of the graduates were worried about their future due to age and family issues, and uncertain about their ability to perform future jobs. In addition, the social movements and COVID-19 pandemic that occurred more than a year ago have made it even more difficult for graduates who are eager to work. Therefore, Brighten Coffee was established in collaboration with the ERBPAL(Elite Reskilling Base Profession Association) to promote retraining and employment, with the determination to assist retraining coffee graduates in developing their career aspirations through social enterprise. Through the physical operation of the coffee Kiosk, training venues are provided for one-stop advanced training in coffee-making skills, including technical improvement and customer service experience learning for graduates.
