本地傳統糕點如芝麻卷、茶粿等形象老舊,漸被時代淘汰。另外,疫情下基層婦女飽受情緒、經濟壓力困擾,徘徊在被社會排斥的邊緣。項目透過(i)線上數碼營銷重新包裝和推廣懷舊糕點;及(ii)聘請糕點師傅培訓基層婦女成為「糕絲打 Go Sister」,為糕點加入新元素,例如流心內餡、不同形狀等,繼而到寄賣點和墟市售賣。藉此希望保存傳統文化手藝,成就婦女充權,建立自信,讓她們「Time To Go」重新出發。

砵仔糕、茶粿、芝麻卷曾經見證不少人的童年時光。隨著社會發展,傳統糕點漸漸被時代淘汰,珍貴的手藝面臨失傳的危機,在香港幾乎要絕跡。「糕點時光 Time To Gold」是一間致力保存傳統糕點文化的社會企業。我們提供糕點銷售及寄賣、技能培訓、體驗工作坊及資訊分享等服務,希望在提供服務的同時,促進婦女充權及長者就業。

Traditional Chinese cakes such as sesame rolls and Hakka steamed rice cakes (Cha Kwo) are labelled as old and dying out snacks.These ethnic cuisines are falling behind the times these years. Meanwhile, the pandemic has disproportionately affected the grass-roots women in Hong Kong, with some of them dropping out of the labor force, having persistent sadness or feelings of hopelessness, and let alone those being excluded from society.

Our project aims at helping traditional Chinese cake shops and grass-roots women by:
(i) Rebranding and promoting traditional Chinese cakes with new packages and digital marketing;  (ii) Hiring traditional chinese cake experts to teach and share their cooking experience with grass-roots women. Getting hands on experience, the ladies are well-prepared to become our “Go Sister”  (“go” is homophonic with Cantonese“糕”). We encourage them to create new recipes and combine the traditional cakes with exciting and trendy elements such as lava fillings and different shapes. The products will be sent to shops and markets for sale. Together, we are hoping to preserve local food and culture and empower women to be more confident. And now it is “Time To Go”!
